Changes to PBNC’s Services, Programs and Events due to COVID-19 risks

OPERATIONAL (under COVID-19 health guidelines) ESSENTIAL SERVICES @ PBNC

NB: Access to all services is via 02 6676 4555 unless stated otherwise, or in person (in the case of Centrelink Agency Services) via the main administration front desk (12A Elizabeth St, Pottsville).  Please note a condition of entry is that you will be screened for COVID-19 risk factors and your temperature will be recorded by a non-contact laser thermometer.

As this situation is rapidly evolving, please check by phone in relation to the services you require.  This includes information about visiting specialist services.

Essential Services Operating at PBNC:

  • Centrelink Agency (face to face) between 8:30am and 1:30pm
  • Information, Referral and Advocacy Service (by telephone only) between 8:30am to 1:30pm
  • Child and Family Support Service:
    • Telephone/online contact
    • Meal support (frozen takeaway meals or non-perishable food – until stocks last) provided by appointment, with food left for pick-up at PBNC’s front door, or by home delivery by special arrangement.
  • Assisted Referral and Material Aid:
    • Telephone/online contact
    • Meal support (frozen takeaway meals or non-perishable food – until stocks last) provided by appointment, with food left for pick-up at PBNC’s front door
  • Brighter Futures:
    • Limited face to face appointments
    • Telephone/online contact
  • Technology Service Centre:
    • By appointment only – contact 0444 534 116 to speak with staff for service description and drop-off and pickup arrangements

SUSPENDED ACTIVITIES due to COVID-19 risks

The following activities have been suspended until further notice

  • Face to face Information, Referral and Advocacy Service (telephone appointments permitted)
  • The Tech Centre is closed to the public for individual tuition and general public access.  There will be limited contact to drop off or pick up equipment after maintenance and or repairs.
  • Individual, face to face sessions (other than those associated with Centrelink Agency Services)
  • All groups (external and internal) and associated room hire/venue use
  • Playgroups including:
    • PlayTime Group
    • Toddler Tunes & Stories
    • Toddler Art & Play
    • Side by Side – play and social support group for families with children on the autism spectrum
  • Be Connected program activities (Get Smart Seniors and Preserve Your Data community engagement event)
  • PBNC Sunday Community Markets, including Community BBQ and Trash n Treasure stall.
  • Op Shop, 2nd Hand Furniture and Appliance Store
  • Volunteer Inductions
  • Community Gardening
  • Stretch Your Mind
  • Get Fit Keep Fit
  • Toy Library
  • Boomerang Bags
